🛠️ Key Job Responsibilities (4-5 Years Experience)
The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of electrical maintenance and troubleshooting tasks, particularly on floating dock and ship lift systems, as well as general heavy machinery:
- Routine Maintenance: Perform inspection, testing, and maintenance of floating dock and ship lift electrical systems (motors, starters, control circuits, sensors, lights, etc.).
- Troubleshooting & Repair: Install, maintain, and troubleshoot LV switchboards, MGOs, distribution boards, and control panels.
- Crane and Lifting Gear: Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on overhead cranes, jib cranes, hoists, and related lifting equipment, including motors, control stations, festoon systems, and safety devices.
- Machinery Support: Support electrical maintenance for machine shop equipment, including lathes, milling machines, grinders, compressors, welding machines, and their control panels.
- Safety Compliance: Conduct basic electrical tests (continuity, insulation resistance, voltage, current) and comply with all HSE requirements, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and safe work practices.
- Coordination: Assist in cable pulling, termination, and tagging, and coordinate with supervisors and other trades (mechanical, hydraulic, rigging).
