Job Title: Compliance Officer Job Type: Permanent
Location: Karachi
Minimum Education: Graduate preferably in Business Studies
Minimum Requirement:
- 2-5 years of relevant banking experience
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Excellent understanding of Prudential Regulations
- Sound understanding of/experience in business products and operations Proficiency in Banking systems, MS Word and Advanced Excel
Key Responsibilities:
- To review policies, product programs, procedures, manuals etc. in order to ensure completeness & adherence to regulatory requirements. Acting as contact point for compliance queries from business staff and guiding them with .
- respect to rules and laws pertaining to their functions.
- Keeping business units informed regarding changes in laws and regulatory requirements
- pertaining to their functions & issuing of advisories on regulatory circulars.
- Appropriately escalate any compliance issues matters to Business Compliance Head. Review and reporting of observations to Business Compliance Head with respect to all product programs, process, policies and procedural manuals. Coordinate timely implementation, completion of Corrective Action Plan.
- To develop and update Compliance Grids. Perform periodic onsite compliance reviews of the assigned functions as per the compliance program..
- To periodically review & assess self-assessment process in order to ensure that the self
- assessment checklists include relevant regulatory requirements. To ensure submission of accurate regulatory returns.
- Assisting the Business Compliance Head for any other matters relating to Compliance as and when so required
